Building Resilience and Self-Esteem Through Vulnerability

Presenter: Melanie Willard.
It takes a brave soul to embrace and expose its true condition, but when we do, we give others permission to do the same. Vulnerability is one of the most freeing and underestimated qualities we can possess.  With her raw transparency, Melanie Willard will share the vital role self-expression and vulnerability played not only in attaining but maintaining her freedom and peace.  Melanie is a firm believer that if we “dare” be more real and honest in our relationships as individuals, families and society that there would be a decline in anxiety, depression, medication, addictions, and other mental and physical health issues.  Discover how owning your story, the good, the bad and the ugly will build your self-esteem and help you grow in resilience. We are all human and we all suffer from the same things.  It’s time we STOP pretending and competing with one another and break the silence of our insecurities!  It’s when we are most vulnerable that we are the most beautiful.

About Melanie: Melanie is an inspirational speaker and author who helps individuals and organizations grow in resilience and hope in the face of adversity while motivating them to make a difference in their own life and in those around them.  She has spoken to thousands of individuals over the last 15 years and has provided one-on-one care to countless individuals going through crisis.
