Historical society will sell cookbooks at Yes, Women Can!

The Vankleek Hill Historical Society is the lucky winner of a free booth at Yes, Women Can on Sunday, April 9!
The prize, valued at $425, was offered to not-for-profit organizations, each of which had several weeks to apply for a free booth at Vankleek Hill’s biennial women’s event, which takes place at the Vankleek Hill Community Centre.
About 11 organizations applied for the free booth.
The historical society will be using its free booth to sell copies of its just-released “Vankleek Hill 2017 Celebration Cookbook”, featuring family favourites from local residents, including actual snapshots of the handwritten recipes. The cookbook retails for $25; it will be on sale for a reduced amount $20 at various special events in the region and, of course, at Yes, Women Can!
The historical society will also be unveiling its newest upcoming project: smaller-scale murals to be installed on the sides of buildings in Vankleek Hill.
You can find out more about the historical society at:  www.vankleek.ca

The cookbook’s official launch takes place at Scotiabank in Vankleek Hill on February 2, 2017.
