‘Quality of life’ main focus at the

2nd edition of YES, WOMEN CAN!

Vankleek Hill, ON – April 17, 2011 will see the Vankleek Hill Community Centre completely transformed for the much-awaited second edition of YES, WOMEN CAN 2011, a unique and resourceful event produced by, and for women.

“Quality of life” is this year’s theme, and it is what guided the choice of speakers, seminars, kiosks and on-hand, live events. It is best summed up by the event’s tagline: Live, Laugh, Learn!

This year, YES, WOMEN CAN is:

  • 66 booths covering finances, careers & training, health & well-being, fashion & style as well as travel & leisure;
  • 12 jury-selected artisans;
  • 36 speakers presenting in 3 distinct areas;
  • 12 live showcase demonstrations delivered at the all-new “Pink Carpet Showcase”;
  • Unlimited and resourceful content delivered by a wide selection of professionals;
  • Live booth presentations and makeovers, fashion shows as well as entertaining tips and advice and,
  • A brand new “bistro” serving a varied selection of food offerings from the best local ven­dors.

Lots of novelties about YES, WOMEN CAN! 2011 edition:

A free shuttle bus to bring event-goers to and from parking lots and other local activities; Admission is FREE for women aged 80 or over (call Irene at 1-877-678-3327 to make arrangements); Every ticket purchase gives a chance to win a fabulous trip to New York City for four.

All those that purchase tickets prior to March 31st, 2011 are eligible to win several wonderful prizes. But not to worry, the wonderful, awe-inspiring and calming lobby lounge, that charmed so many in 2009, is back, complete with relaxing music and a water feature making it the best spot to meet, connect and chat with friends on April 17th, 2011!

The Vankleek Hill Fiddle and Dance Association is providing us with volunteers to ensure that parking at the show runs smoothly all day. Thanks to these volunteers for making our show better!

Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute Principal Jeff Campbell and the Upper Canada District School Board have allowed Yes, Women Can! the use of the high school parking lot for additional parking space for exhibitors and visitors! Our thanks to them for helping to make our show better! Thanks to great community participation we gave back to our community!
